I am a Minnesota-based photographer who discovered my passion for the art upon entering midlife. I focus primarily on capturing images of the natural world and other cultures. I enjoy shooting landscapes, textures, and abstracts in nature and love the public lands of the United States.
Extensive travels have allowed me to photograph in dozens of locations throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Will shoot for food, futon, & flights. My preference is to use natural light to capture the authenticity and diversity of what I see. Through my photography, I hope to nurture in others a growing awareness of the vulnerability and transcendence of all cultures and environs, including the ones that surround us.

“The books or the music in which we thought the beauty was located will betray us if we trust to them; it was not in them, it only came through them, and what came through them was longing. These things—the beauty, the memory of our own past—are good images of what we really desire; but if they are mistaken for the thing itself they turn into dumb idols, breaking the hearts of their worshippers. For they are not the thing itself; they are only the scent of a flower we have not found, the echo of a tune we have not heard, news from a country we have never yet visited.” (C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory)
"For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made." (Saint Paul the Apostle)
